A star lot in the upcoming April collective sale at the Grantham Auction Rooms is Lot 23, an 18th century bracket clock.
The clockmaker is John Wood of Grantham, who is the prize that - if you're in Grantham - everyone wants.
Colin Young had this to say about the clock: "His (John Wood of Grantham) clocks are very rare to the market, though I do see many in the town when undertaking insurance valuations. This is a very elegant looking example of his work and should do well in the saleroom."
